Valentines Day

Well, it is the day of "love", so I might as well write about it. Well I might get my head bitten off by the friends of mine who read this, but... well. In my own opinion, Valentines Day is a sad excuse to imitate love. Sometimes peoples happiness revolves around if they have a Valentine or not. Its retarted. Why do something that could be special on such a Cliche day to do special things. Now, if it was like... March 3rd and you did something special and amazing for absolutely no reason, well... that shows you care. BUT if you do something special and amazing Febuary 14th... well, it takes away the amazingness, cause at the same time, millions of other people are doing something special too. Why should there only be one day in the year to show someone you care about them. If you really care about them, make each day special. Do something that will make them smile, and give you that look that you automatically know that they care. That smile, that wonderful smile. Its all cheapened by the fact that its done on Valentines Day. Not only is Love being commercialized on this day, now even Anti Valentines Day is being commercialized. People who dislike Valentines day and wear black, the antithesis of red apparently. NOW hallmark is captializing on them, making Anti Valentines Day cards. That just goes to show you, no matter how pure an emotion, no matter how wonderful an idea... it can be capitalized to make money. When you cheapen an emotion like love with such an evil emotion, like greed... well it just creates a day with a facade of happiness. Even people subconsciouly know how...cheap and fake that day really is. Did you know that on Valentines day, you are twice as likely to reasses your dating situation. Basically, on this one day, you think about breaking up with your loved one twice as much. ( Click here for actual survey ) Love and greed dont work together, they dont go together like a horse and carriage. And Valentines day is a prime example of that. I wonder who actually can tell me, why do we celebrate this day? Most scholars believe that Saint Valentine was a man during the roman empire. The emperor at the time decided that single men made better soldiers, so he outlawed marriage in young people. Valentine decided this was injust and him being a priest, began secretly marrying people. He was caught and executed. How do we get cards and ballons and teddy bears, from that? Thats about as crazy as the legend of easter. Where the fuck did the bunnies and the eggs come from!? "Oh crap, Jesus is back. Hide the eggs. And if he asks, we will tell him the bunnies took them." Easter traditions are a tad more crazy than Valentines day. Honestly, its just a normal day....filled with too much red and way too many ballons.

My Views on Valentines day- A corporate commercialized holiday, specializing in the cheapening of one of the beautifulest emotions known to man, love. Im tired of being described as a cynic or that I say love sucks. Love is wonderful. Valentines day, well.. thats an excuse to get a girl a present and hope to get laid. Thats really what it boils down to.

Label me this, Label me that

A new day, a new blog post, a new topic. I wonder who caught the subtle Batman reference in the title. Well, Im sure you all do now. Well, as you can surely guess, todays topic's are labeling, which in short is known as, Stereotyping. Oh boy, I can definitly go crazy with this one. Why exactly do we label a person one thing or another? You were Abercombie and Fitch and suddenly your preppy. Wear some black clothing, add some chains and BAM, your gothic. If your mexican in southern california, your cuban in Miami. Why the hell do we base sooo much on looks alone? And not just looks, but location as well. He grew up in the south D.C. area, so he has to be a ghetto guy, right? He has to be a theif, a no good piece of crap right? He came from Peru, so he doesnt speak english right, right? He drives real bad, right? Based on where they came from, so much can be infered, and incorrectly so. Ok, so what if someone grew up in South D.C., he chooses his own path. He might be an awesome guy, or he could be exactly the stereotype. But the point is, not everyone fits it. Labeling people is a way to create a rift between practically everyone. I see it everyday at school. The black kids sit in a huddled group in the corner of the large patio, the rockers in the middle of the small Patio, the preps in the center of the large Patio. Martin Luther King Junior fought for equality between all races. He died following his dream, and now. Now, the newest generation, have decided to segregate themselves. We have decided on our own to fuck over everything that was fought for. Freedom, the right to be equal. All lost because we decided that we all should fall into a certain, "group". If we got everyone together, in one large room. If we broke down the walls that seperate us, the walls we built for ourselves in our minds, if we could bring together everyone and eliminate "labels", the world would be a much greater place. But I guess, thats what Martin fought for. Thats what was elimentated for such a short time. I guess every generation or so has its own battle to be fought, its own civil duty. We need to learn to live together, lose the mentality that one group is better than another. Because what we build now in our minds, it doesnt just end with us. What we do now, will affect generations after. For all i know, we could be breeding the next world war. With all of our segretion and racial hatred. With all of our labels and gangs. We could be fostering a hate that eventually will lead to the worlds destruction. And for what? Nothing... nothing at all. You trying to look better than someone else, well, that just looks like a retard trying to fuck a doorknob. Now, if you really are better than someone else, let it be for legitament reasons, and not just race or location. Let it be... idk, let it be something that wont foster hate. If thats a real thing. We as a people need to fall out of the routine of labeling someone. It needs to stop. Before its too late


My Views on Labels: There is no point to them. Because you are different, does not mean you are supirior or less than anyone else. Labeling people segrates them, and just fosters hate. Lets get everyone, and I mean everyone, and just get together. From the little emo kid, to the big black guy, from the coolio asian to the creepy as fuck goth kid, lets just get together. Youd be suprised at how similar we really are.

People with no Privacy

I went to work yesterday, trying to think of a topic I could discuss here on this blog of mine. During the course of the day, I kept hearing about Ana Nicole Smith, and about a lot of other things... and it got me thinking. What makes Ana so damn special? OK, she died. Thats sad. She might have been a great person, a good friend, a caring mother... but I dont know her. I had no personal attachment to this person. This person, sadly, meant nothing to me. So why should I care she died? Ok, that sounds a bit... well, evil.. but It has validity behind it. What makes celebreties so damn special? Why the hell would I care if Brad Bitt and Angelina Jolie are having another baby? Good for them, how the hell does this affect me!? Or, even better to sound less self absorbed, How the hell does this affect anyone other than them and their family and friends??? Ok, another baby, how is that different from the millions of babies born worldwide EACH DAY. My point in this certain blog, is Why are Celebreties such a big deal? Ok, they have money. Ok they are on TV. BIG fucking whoop. They are normal people with talents in acting. Hell, some of them dont even have talents (Tom Cruise, IM talking about you). How is that different from, say... an archetichts talent to design buildings, or a Chefs talent to make food? They have a talent for acting. We love them, cause they portray so many different characters on both the big and small screen. They entertain us. Its all good. I love actors and actresses. They are my heroes. BUT, I dont want to hear about so and so sleeping with Britney Spears or Whos the best dressed or Whose wearing what. I want to watch them on screen. Thats enough for me. Their personal lives, is exactly that, their PERSONAL lives. Why the hell should I give a shit. How come Tom Cruise jumping on a coach is more important than Me stubbing my toe? If he gets national coverage, well... SO should my Toe!

My views on Celebreties- They rock. Great talents. BUT, their personal lives, should be personal. I dont care if someones getting married or someone is being labeled as a whore (Paris, thats a reference to you), I just wanna see your face on the screen as the killer sneaks up behind you as I munch on my popcorn. And then, miraculasly, in a different movie, their they are again, alive and whole!

The School SYSTEM

Its time to takle a time tested, mother approved, kid hated system. The School System. So exactly what can we say about the school system. That it sucks? I mean, as a Student, I am obligated to hate school. But is it really as bad as we teenagers paint it? Well, for one thing, all schools are different. They may be under the same district but each one can be great or crappy. As for the school system as I know it, its not the best. A lot of the teachers dont care, the security gaurds hired to protect us sit on their lazy asses all day, and a bunch of rules are enforced with no merit behind them. This may sound like a rant from a dissillusioned teenager, but its all factual. You have teachers who dont give a damn about you, Like my 9th grade Math teacher, or teachers who dont know the subject they teach, like my Web Design class. You are probly thinking, yeah from his perspective, but let me tell you, some of the things that go on shouldnt be going on. Like My math teacher in 9th grade, the day after school ended she hit me with her car and drove around my body and laughed. Thats just a sick and twisted person. And thats just one individual. Now, I dont want to spend on all my time on just my school, because this blog, its about the entire school system as it is today. OK. Teachers dont get paid enough. Schools put too much money into sports programs and ignore intellectual things. A great divide is created by being in a public school. The AP students and then everyone else. They rarely interact, and I think it puts a lid on our social and mental creativity. Many teaching methods are outdated, and the ones that arnt are considered, wrong. School has become work. Why cant we enjoy learning? Why must the school system make it so we hate school. We didnt grow up to hate school, but we do now and thats not benificial to our learning expericance.


My Views on the school system- As it stands right now, it isnt in the best shape. Kids hate school, teachers hate kids, and not enough money is spent on paying teachers and more money than is needed is spent on sports programs. This country needs to get its act together before we become a land of stubborn simpletons

Views On EVERYTHING

Well, Ok... not everything. It has been awhile... too long really. I havnt been on this blog for months and never really thought about the premise behind it in a long time. But now that I read my last posts, I am suprised I havnt stuck with it. Since I havnt read these posts in such a long time, I have forgoten I had written them, and they were good. So, I shall continue. Continue my tyrants about the world. So whats todays topic? Well, One that has become very prevalent in the young culture today: Drugs. There, I said it. Out of the 4 posts here on this Blog, 3 of them are against major belief systems. I seem to be on a roll. Well, ok. Drugs. The main question on everybodies minds today, or at least in the past few years, How bad are they? Are they as bad as the government and those "Live above the Influence" commercials say? Well in the most plain words as I can put it, is no. Most (I say MOST) drugs are blown out of proportion. Way out of proportion. How you ask? Well lets take Marijuanna for example. It is one of the most talked about drugs, most commercialized drug, and most likely the one drug everyone knows about. Health class and government paid organizations say how evil this drug is and How it makes you stupid and lazy. To the contrary, Weed has many benificial effects. (Remember, I am not condoning the use of any illegal drug. Even though I think its wrong that its Illegal, you should still, not break the law. ) Weed is used to treat glaucoma patients and is known to be relaxer. It has also been shown in one study that people with certain diseases that make them feel incredible pain in their last hours, smoking Marijuanna lessons the pain, and making it easier to speak to their loved ones before he/she dies. The doctor who suggested that treatment, which brought closure and happiness to the family, is now no longer a doctor. With that being said, let me make a comparison. Which is worse, a plant that has been soaked in chemicals, some stuff taken out, more stuff added, proccesed in chemicals again, rolled and a little filter stuck at the end... OR, a plant rolled in paper and smoked? Which sounds worse. If you said number one, you would be right. BUT, are we talking about an illegal substance? Nope, number one described Ciggaretes, and Number two was Marijuanna. Have you ever heard of a Weed Overdose? How about a Weed Death? How about a Marijuanna related death? No? Well thats cause there isnt. BUT... IM sure you have heard of people dying because of Mcdonalds Food, Suicide, Terrorism and Drung Driving. BUT, do you see any commercials warning people of those dangers? Trying to help those people? NO, but millions of dollars are spent on the fictatious "Live above the Influence" commercials. A real statistic says that 30 Million teenagers this year alone (2006) have made suicide attempts. Out of the 300 Million in the united States, 30 million of people tried to commit suicide. And where is the commercials trying to help them, trying to get them help? Non existint. Now, I have done my research, and I know what im talking about. My friend, he put it very nicely

My views on drugs: As long as you have done your reasearch, made sure that what you have is pure, and that you are not doing one of the three no-no drugs (Heroin, Cocaine and Crack; I say, NEVER DO THEM, let me repeat; NEVER DO THEM), I really dont care. Go ahead and smoke a blunt, the only harm really done would be to your lungs, I mean your smoking. Other than that I really think that Most Drugs arnt as bad as they say they are, and some should be legal. Lets spend those millions from Drug Commercials and do something that matters, like helping all the Emo Kids.. oh those poor Emo Kids

Ok, Not too much Time

Ah, Not a lot of time to discuss this next topic before I go to work, sooo Lets begin. Hmm, what Topic today? How about the internet? Ok, thats what I will talk about today. The Internet. The Internet is very very great (for porn). Ok, thats actually from a song, soo... lets..move on. The internet is an intresting tool to use, if you know how to use it. Using the right search words one can find a website about practically anything. And If that website doesnt exist, You can make one! Also, there is Electronic Mail, Which is way faster and more reliable then Snail Mail (normal mail). And who can forget the instant messanger. intstead of waiting for the mail to be delivered, then type your response and send it back, IM can link you to practically anyone as long as you have their screen name. But there is A downside to the internet...several downsides. It has made it easy for Terrorists to send plans through email. It has made it much easier for Child Predators to find their prey (Dont Blame Myspace, Blame the 11 year olds who dress like whores and invite them to be their friends. They have to accept the friend invitation, thats their problem.) It also will most likely halt evolution of the mind. How so? Well look at it this way. You make a commitee for some task and put three people on that commitee. That Commitee will come up with something pretty quickly. Now, you make a Commitee with 30 people...it kinda slows down because of conflicting ideas and different strategies. Now..imagine a commitee with 5,000,000,000 people. It will virtual stop all productivity. And that is what the internet will do. Most evolution is done in small groups, when they are kept away from the rest of the world. Bats lost their eyesight and gained sonar when they moved into caves. Whales once had legs, but there was no use for them in the water..soo...they are gone, turned into Flippers. The internet spells doom for the continuation of evolution. Although that really sucks, You cant be too made at the interent...its still a wonderful Tool!

Views on the Church and Homosexuality

Wow, Day Two and already a controversial topic. FUN!! Ok lets start with the church. I have got nothing against orginized religion. Its great to have beliefs. But...its become to..comercialized. I think thats the word. Each Religion is in a full scale battle to determine which religion is right. Which Religion is Right? How can we say that. How can we come up to someone and say, Your Religion is wrong, you are going to hell. Now that is just wrong. Why cant we just do what the founding fathers fought for, Tolerance. And that brings me to the other topic in this blog. Homosexuality. Great combination, Church and Homosexuality. According to the church, the bible says that homosexuality is a sin. But is it? We were givin free will for a reason. If we cant use free will, then why have it? Love is never a sin. So, if thats true, why do you have to have a man and a women fall in love? Love comes in a form and shapes. Man and Man, Man and Women, Women and Women. Love is Love, and no matter how vehemetly you fight against it you cant stop life from finding a way. Now whats funny is that the church believes everything in the bible, and disregards everything we know today. Why do I mention that? Well, the bible was not written by God himself, like the ten commandments. The bible was written by several men, and then a huge debate commenced about which chapters to put in. They took things out, added things. They basically made it their own. Soooo how can we use that as a basis to reject homosexuality?

My Views on the curch- Its ok. I think its too harsh and follows outdated and false things. But I do believe in a higher power. Just not that the world is a couple thousand years old.

My Views on Homosexuality- Im all for it. Love is Love, there is no changing that. Many of my friends are gay or lesbian. Go them! :)

Its nice to enjoy anonymity. As the Title suggests this is the first post of Many, hopefully. This is to tell the world my views on topics, without the fear of being looked down upon by those I call my friends. And on that note let me begin. It will start with LIFE. Yes Life. Life is an interesting topic to think about. What will you do with your life, what is there to do? That, my friends, is an easy question. Whatever You Like!! In the beginning... Or when you are a teenager you begin to think of the future and what lies in store. By the beginning of eleventh grade, you are probly scared shitless, the SAT's Coming up and grades being so important. That year will singlehandedly tell whether you go to college or not in the near future. But, enough about the younger years. Lets fastforward your life...eh, 10 years from now. Where do you see yourself? Surely not doing the exact same thing. You want to move on and change. But how to go about doing it? Well for starters get up. Next turn off your computer. Finally Open your frontdoor and look for opportunities. Meet new people, make new friends. Every person you meet affects you in some way. It may just be a little way, but eventually the little things add up. They build your personality. It started the minute you were born. Even if you weren't fully aware of it at the time (C'mon, you were just born...noone is fully aware) your young mind assimlilates information like a sponge. But enough of that. Where will life take you? Well, anywhere you want it too. You are in control of your own life. I believe in fate, but I also believe we control our own destiny's. The truth of the matter, the Broadway musical RENT sums it up pretty nicely. Live each day like it was your last. (No Day But Today) and don't fret about things that's happened in the past...It already happened let it go. (Forget Regret or live your life in Fear) No other road, No other way. No Day But Today.

My Views on Life- Live, Learn, Love... That's what its all about right? Not what career to choose or whose with who. It living life to the fullest and taking everything life throws at you and brushing it off and moving on.
